Commuters using Pathadisha have the ability to track buses, trams, vessels, and more near their current location or at specific stops, providing them with relevant details. The app also offers real-time tracking of vehicles, along with estimated time of arrival (ETA) at various stops.

This app utilizes crowdsourced information that has been verified and analyzed alongside other relevant system data. Based on this data, vehicles are ranked accordingly according to crowd input.

Pathadisha greatly simplifies commuters' journeys, and below are some of its key features:

• Live Tracking: With Pathadisha, commuters can receive real-time updates on the location and movement of buses along their route, whether they are at home, at the office, or waiting at a bus stop. This enables them to make better-informed decisions regarding their preferred travel options. Tracking vehicles has never been easier.
• ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival): To obtain the ETA of a vehicle at various stops, users simply need to select it on the in-app map. An info panel will appear at the bottom of the screen, offering four buttons: In-Route Vehicles, ETA, Share Journey, and Crowd Input. Tapping on the ETA button will display the ETA of the vehicle at different stops in a line-view. By tapping on the Map icon, users can view the ETA plotted along the route map. Additionally, selecting a stop from the menu and pressing the PIS (Passenger Information System) button will display a list of vehicles approaching that stop along with their ETAs.
• Share Journey: Pathadisha provides an option for commuters to share live updates of their journey with others, allowing them to plan accordingly and join the traveler at the destination. By selecting a bus on the map and tapping on the Share icon in the info panel at the bottom of the screen, users can share the tracking link of the selected vehicle with their chosen contacts. This can be done through various messaging apps.
• Crowd Info: Commuters often wish to know how crowded a bus is before embarking on their journey. Pathadisha collects this information from passengers on buses, trams, and ferries. Passengers can provide this input based on their immediate on-spot experience. The system validates, analyzes, and ranks the inputs, categorizing buses as RED (Crowded), YELLOW (Less Crowded), or GREEN (Empty Seats Available). Buses displayed in the Pathadisha app are indicated with these color codes on top of them.
• Journey Planner: Pathadisha comes to the aid of strangers or individuals unfamiliar with a city's routes and travel options. By selecting the "Journey Planner" option in the menu and entering the source and destination of their journey, users are presented with all possible options, including routes, distances, and approximate journey durations. The planner also offers a choice between "Direct Journey" or "Multi-hop Journey."
• E-Ticket Booking: In today's eco-conscious world, Pathadisha facilitates paperless e-ticket bookings. Users can access the e-ticket booking system by selecting "Ticket Booking" from the menu.
• Alerts & Notifications: Instantly pulling relevant alerts and notifications published by the Transport Department regarding emergency route diversions, new routes, and special services for different occasions, Pathadisha keeps commuters well-informed of all updates in the "Notifications" section.
